What is a PTFA?
PTFA stands for Parents, Teachers and Friends association and they're a team of volunteers within the school community.
About us
Highwood Copse PTFA has been a charitable organization since July 2022, when we held our first AGM. We are dedicated to supporting the school community through fundraising and events and our goal is to enhance the educational experience for all students and build a strong sense of community. We work alongside the school to help fund additional resources not covered within the school budget. Our current aims are to provide the children with a school library full of variety for them to grow their love for reading, small outdoor play equipment to enjoy on breaks and lunches, and finally large play equipment suitable from Year 1 to 6.

Why join the PTFA?
Joining the PTFA is an excellent way to get involved in your child’s education, make a positive impact on the school environment, and build lasting relationships. Whether you have a few hours to spare or can commit to regular involvement, your contribution makes a difference. By becoming a member, you’ll help organise events, fundraise for valuable school resources, and create memorable experiences for students. It’s also a fantastic opportunity to share your ideas, develop new skills, and be part of a welcoming and supportive team!

Fundraising Events
Our fundraising events are currently the main source of income for the PTFA. They are a big hit with the Highwoodians and their families and are always a great success. We love how they bring special memories to the children and help build a sense of community between the parents, the school and many local businesses too.
