Fundraising Goals
Below you will find our three current fundraising goals for the PTFA, these are the areas we agreed upon during our first Annual General Meeting (AGM). With the school community present, we chose these targets as we strongly believe these areas will benefit the children the most.
Library
The Highwood Copse Primary PTFA and the school community have been working hard to build the school a well equipped library for the children from scratch. Reading is an invaluable activity that enriches our minds, broadens our understanding, and enhances our skills. It opens the door to new worlds, perspectives, and knowledge, making it a cornerstone of personal and intellectual growth. Whether you are reading for pleasure or to learn, books and other written content provide a means to expand your vocabulary, improve focus, and develop critical thinking abilities. Additionally, reading can be a wonderful way to relax, reduce stress, and explore creativity. In today’s fast-paced digital age, dedicating time to reading also helps foster a deeper connection with ideas and stories, free from the distractions of constant online chatter. Outdoor Toys & Storage Boxes
Outdoor toys are the perfect way to encourage children to stay active, build their confidence, and ignite their imagination. From skipping ropes, hoops, balls and more, these outdoor essentials offer endless opportunities for fun and development. Essential to help children explore, socialise, and grow. Large Play Equipment
Large play equipment at school plays a vital role in fostering physical activity, creativity, and social interaction among children. These structures, such as climbing frames, slides, and multi-use play systems, provide students with opportunities to explore, develop motor skills, and build confidence. They help create an engaging outdoor environment where children can play and learn together. Welly Boot Rack
One of our parents have used their amazing talents to make a Welly Rack for the Highwoodians as requested by the school. Their clever design holds up to 60 pairs of Wellies so they no longer have to be stored on the window sill outside the classroom.
